(Jimmi here...again!)

ACK, it's March does that happen???

Here's another ADORABLE Sneak Peek of the March Kit of the Month!
Don't you LOVE it?

"The March wind roars
Like a lion in the sky,
And makes us shiver
As he passes by. When winds are soft,
And the days are warm and clear,
Just like a gentle lamb,
Then spring is here."

Sunday Favorites from Jimmi!

OK has a theme...a theme that comes from the fact that it's lighter in the morning's now earlier than it has been...and something is haunting me, waking me up, taunting me...and it's BIRDS!
Yes, birds are making me crazy.

I have a weird relationship with birds. I used to have birds decorating my house inside until I got over it and now I just love them secretly, not all over my living room...but in the morning I really do NOT like I thought I'd share that love/hate relationship with you this morning.

Since I love to LOOK at pretty birds but not hear are some beautiful, completely SILENT birds ;)

1st there is this beautiful bird from Could I Be Any Cuter!

Here's a card Heather made with it:

This card from Gretchen is SO cute! Paper piecing in my favorite technique and I love how she pieced this little birdie!

Here are some birdies using the bird in the Feb. Kit of the Month:

Jenn made this beautiful card this week....don't you ADORE it?

Here is a cool pop-up card by Misstreez, fun huh?
Here is a GLITTERY card by Beate using the Kit too:
Here are 2 supre clean and simple cards by Army08love (on SCS) that are simply perfect!

How about the birdie in Folk Inspired??? He's a CUTE one!

Here he is on a card by Lisa (The Crafts Meow) that is CA-UTE:

Ahhh....I feel at peace with the birds again, I really needed that...maybe I can think of this when that woodpecker is banging on the siding of the roof tomorrow morning just 30 minutes before my alarm is going to go off or when the birds are gathering in that Bradford Pear tree outside my window next Saturday morning when I shoudl be sleeping in...very until noon....pray for me ;)

Have a GREAT day!

...a couple little sneakie peeks - MARCH Kit of the Month

Wanna hear how things happen at Unity?

I love this....

I made the Unity Kit of the Month for March.
Sent it to my Design Team.
It was brought to my attention that I had included a sentiment from LAST MONTH'S KIT in THIS MONTH'S Kit.
THAT needed to be fixed RIGHT AWAY.
i was so mad at myself.
my inbox dinged.
it was an email from Jenn Balcer.
was a sweet little picture and suggestion for a stamp.
SENT it to Lisa Hetrick.
and within a DAY
had this lovely stamp below.

I love when things just fall right into place.

Artist: Lisa Hetrick

Don't you LOVE THEM!
Wait till you see the rest!

Now THAT is inspiring. :) I will leave you with a few thoughts for this weekend................

"It takes a long time for a man to look like his portrait." James McNeill Whistler
"All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness." Eckhart Tolle
"At moments of great enthusiasm it seems to me that no one in the world has ever made something this beautiful and important." M.C. Escher
"Reason is powerless in the expression of Love." Rumi
"Don’t tell me that I won’t. I can. Don’t tell me that I’m not. I am. Don’t tell me that my master plan ain't coming true.
Don’t tell me that I won’t. I will. Don’t tell me how to think. I feel. Don’t tell me cause I know what’s real. What I can do.
Something that you don’t see every day. A little girl who found her way. Through a world that's designed to break all of your dreams." Joss Stone

Design Team Tuesday- Kimber McGray

I'm up this week as the Design Team feature. When trying to figure out what I wanted to make this week I couldn't resist using one of my new favorite kits, It's Your Day! With all the cards I've been making lately, I have noticed that I am ALWAYS out of Thank you cards and Birthday cards. No more! Now that I have this set I am making them like crazy to have on hand.
A simple trifold card to start. Add some stamping and a strip of patterned paper. Beware of coloring with Copics though. Ugh. I should have known better but, I love them so much. They do bleed through the back of the paper. Oh well.
More stamping and then a fun polka dot chipboard exclamation point for emphasis.
Once I realized my coloring problem, I got wise stamped and colored on scrap paper then cut out the numbers and the cake. Simply adhered them with foam adhesive squares.

Love this card so much. It's going to be hard to give it away. :)

Cardstock: Papertrey Ink
Stamps: Unity Stamp Company-It's Your Life set
Patterned Paper: American Crafts
Ink: Momento
Markers: Copic
Punch: Stampin' UP!
Foam Adhesive: 3L Scrapbook Adhesives Foam Squares

Hope you have a good one!

Same Supplies, different cards

Happy Monday!  In my neck of the woods, we had beautiful weather over the weekend, which was refreshing and much needed.  I am ready to start seeing flowers bloom, barbeque-ing outside, and taking bike rides with my children.  Spring is coming and I am very excited about that!
Today, I am showing you two cards, using the same stamps & paper, but one is a little more simple than the other.  Not all stampers and paper crafters have all of the latest and greatest tools, especially people new to this hobby.  I remember the frustration seeing a beautiful card, but not able to create it, from lack of supplies.  Question?  Why do we make cards?  To send them right?!  I love making fancy cards, but the ones I mail out, usually are pretty simple.  The only difference in supplies in the two cards, is that I added ribbon to the first one.

Supplies used:
Feb Kit of the month
Cosmo Cricket Material Girl paper
Ivory card stock
Copic markers
satin ribbon
black pearls
Spellbinders labels die
foam tape
