i do this every. single. year.around December 1st - hmmmm.....i think i will send out CHRISTMAS CARDS this year.i have time.around December 5th ...hmmmm.....i think i will make a TON of cookies this year for the boys.i have time.around December 10th .....hmmmm.....i will go shopping tomorrow so i don't do it last minute.i have time.around December 12th ....hmmmm....i am SURE i am the ONLY one without my tree up.better find time.around December 15th my world goes into over drive and i start to panic.10 days till CHRISTMAS?! how did THAT happen?then i start talking myself down -- well - this weekend i will get the cards done, and make cookies, and shop, and put out the REST of the decorations. then the weekend arrives and.....WELL YOU KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY.panic. city.
that is me in a nut shell.next year i will do better.or not. either way - Christmas arrives.....and the focus shifts and miracles occur.not only the miracle of "getting it all done"but the miracle of being in the moment.....the world stands still.
oh, how i love Christmas Eve and the day that follows....
i once read... and i am not even sure where....or when....or if I am accurate{but this is what my heart remembers}that on Christmas every star, every planet and everything beyond stands the same way it did "that night"the night a baby was born.
so that leaves us wide open to simple miracles. i love that.
personally, i think because SO MUCH LOVE is shared at Christmas - miracles occur.
think about it...how can they NOT - if our hearts are open to seeing miracles in simple form.LOVE illuminates THE WORLD and the heavens smile.God Smiles.Angels Rejoice....and all is just a little more "right" - if even for one moment.
