Stamp of the Week - We're Back {to school}

Hey everyone!! Stephanie Gold here with a brand new Stamp of the Week for you and it's so stinkin cute! Here it is:

I mean... SO CUTE, right?!!! My kids immediately started fawning over this image so I really wanted to use it to make something for them. Here in Arizona we start school again in about a week, so I decided to make them little lunch notes!! I put lunch notes in my kids boxes every day and they love receiving them. If I forget one day... I hear about it. LOL! So here are the notes I came up with:

Those little kids and their backpacks... so darling!!! Here is a card from DT Member Sharon Nettleship:

And a card from DT Member Gaylynn Martling:

Aren't those ADORABLE?!!! I swear my DT teamies are incredible at coloring. I need some serious practice and tips! Haha.

SMAK LOL Saturday Never Lose Sight

Happy weekend.
Gaylynn here with SMAK Saturday and Layer's of Life creations.

My first card is with the August 2016 SMAK Never Lose Sight.

And here is a picture of the process.
For the wings, stamp the butterfly image twice, color, cut out one set of wings and glue on the top wings.

And here is a card made with the July 2016 Layers of Life Be Yourself.

Here is part of the process.  For the background on these cards, I used layers of distress ink with foam applicators. The more layers, the darker the color.  The possibilities are endless.

These kits are great for all kinds of different crafts including mixed media, scrapbook, planners, card making and DIY projects.

Have a fabulous weekend.

Stamp of the Week Reminder

Hey there!  Maria here today to remind you about this week's fabulous Stamp of the Week called Water Floral!

These flowers are so awesome to color in.  I once again used Dylusional Sprays with a water brush to color these pretty flowers. I've been loving bright colors in my card and craft making projects.  It's my way of adding color to my life because I would never wear clothing in these bright colors.

Be sure to check out the Stamp of the Week subscription:

Growing in Unity Wednesday

This week Jammie is up sharing her wonderful Unity creations!

Meet Jammie:

Here is a little something about Jammie:
"I’m Jammie and I live in the beautiful state of Idaho with my hubby of 11 years and our 9 year old son (and 2 fur babies too).  I’ve been crafting for about a decade now… my sweet cousin got me started into stamping and we use it as a medium to bridge the distance between us (she’s in California).  I am a SAHM, but that’s totally NOT what i do at all! I’m the president of the PTA at my son’s school and on the HOA board in my neighborhood, I bake and craft, and when none of those things are consuming my time I’m an avid reader! Hope you enjoy all of my projects this week! Thank you so much for having me at Growing in Unity!"

Check out this fun card Jammie made this week:

Be sure to visit Jammie on her blog each day this week for loads of Unity inspiration and for your chance to win some Unity goodies!

DT Tuesday with Mandi

Hello Friends!

It's Mandi here with another DT Tuesday.

Here is a card I made for my friend with a matching envelope.

I stamped the flower in the corner of the card and coloured with my watercolours.

I wanted to leave a lot of white space on the card.

So I stamped the sentiment directly underneath the flowers.

I added some rhinestones to give it a wee bit of bling.

Then layered it with black card then on to a white card base.

I decorated the corner of the envelope with the same design minus the rhinestones.

The stamps I used today are from the June kit of the month  Beautiful One

The sentiment is from the May sentiment kit You Can & You Will.

Now on to some cards that caught my eye for pick of the week.

Terri Burson made this beautiful set of cards using the Insightful Meadows stamp.

I love the colours she used they are so dreamy.

I also loved this one from Elisa De Sena using the Basket Full of Wishes stamp.

I love her bright colour palette it is so pretty!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I will leave you with this courtesy of Pinterest.

KOTM Monday

Hi Sharon here and today I'm blogging about one of my favourite Unity products. It's the Kit Of The Month. It's such a good value kit and you can use the images and sentiments in lots of ways. This month's is called "Glittering Eyes".

So far I have made this lovely set of 6x4 cards for my project life album or you could use them as toppers for your cards. I've coloured the images using  distress inks as watercolours.

I also made this door hanger.

I get really excited when I know my kit is coming through my letterbox each month and you can too. All the details are here on the Unity site.

I hope I've inspired you to take a look at the kit it really is worth having!!

SMAK Saturday!

GREETINGS Unity friends!
It’s Camille here today sharing a mixed media canvas I made using the July SMAK Kit.

I used the SMAK Kit, Hearts Reflection, with layers of printed/stamped tissue paper, gel medium, and applied various colors of Tim Holtz Distress Paints and inks. It was the most fun I’ve had in a few weeks. Did you notice the butterfly twinkling in the middle of the eye?

As always, every month's images are perfect for mixed media projects, scrapbooking, and everyone at Unity’s favorite, card making.

Here’s a look at the July SMAK kit, Hearts Reflection.

Inspiration Wednesday with Angeline

Happy Wednesday! It's Angeline here.

Lately I've been seeing so many watercolor paintings that are AMAZING and I'm only starting out --- so I may not be as good as some I'm inspired by. But hey.. Art is one's way of exploring and everyone has their own way of expressing themselves. So, art is never about being perfect but having FUN doing it :)

So, since I really wanted to paint some flowers --- I decided to "cheat" and use the beautiful poppy stamps from Unity Stamp's Kit of the Month 06/2016 "Beautiful One"

Unity Stamp: Inspiration Wednesday with Angeline #unitystampco #scrappyscrappy #poppy #watercolor #chalkink #flowers #card #papercraft #cardmaking #emboss #butterfly #gold

I inked up the flowers using VersaMagic chalk inks and mixed the colors before stamping. What I love about chalk inks is -- the colors are so pretty and it does mimic the watercolor painting feel.

And BONUS feature is -- the ink stays wet for a while so I was able to even emboss my butterfly partially! :)

So, do try it out for yourself and show me what you made in our Facebook Unity {show & tell} group.

Have a wonderful day and DON'T be afraid to TRY new things :)

Growing in Unity Wednesday

Welcome to Growing in Unity! This week Sarah is up sharing her wonderful Unity creations!

Meet Sarah:

Here is a little something about Sarah:

"Hello!  My name is Sarah and I am from Minnesota and I LOVE crafting.  I dabbled with paper crafts a long time ago--my sister actually used to rubber stamp when she was in Jr. High and I made soooooo much fun of her...ooops!  It wasn't until about 10 years ago when I attended my first in home stamping party that I really loved what I saw, but never thought that I could "do that."  However, in about the last 5 years I've really bloomed in my crafting and figured out that I kinda love stamping... a lot!  It's my relaxation and creative outlet.  I love, love, love to make cards. And if you've followed my blog at all you will find I simply can't resist a great pun-- I love punny stamps oh so much and I love that Unity keeps bringing about more and more puns to keep me crafting :)  In my free time I love spending time with my friends and family.  I work full time in Property Management and that keeps me super busy.  When I'm not working I love going to college hockey games and baseball games with my hubby.  I also enjoy sitting back and sipping on bubble tea with my bestie!"

Check out this great set Sarah created:

Be sure to swing on by Sarah's blog each day this week for loads of great inspiration and your chance to win some Unity goodies!
